Welcome to the Adriatic Coast. Your adventure begins the moment you touch down at Split Airport (SPU). Forget the stress of taxis; our team is there to pick you up and transfer you to the heart of the city. Whether you arrive early to explore the ancient Diocletian’s Palace or land just in time for sunset, the vibe is electric. In the evening, we gather for a Welcome Snack & Briefing. This isn’t just a meeting; it’s where the tribe forms. We’ll hand out the “Safety & Info Pack,” review the route, and get you ready for the expedition ahead.

Gentlemen, start your engines. After a hearty breakfast, we pick up our machines. The moment you press the starter button, the holiday is over—the adventure begins. We leave the coast behind and climb immediately into the winding mountain roads. Crossing the border into Bosnia & Herzegovina, the landscape transforms into rugged beauty.
We ride through history, visiting the famous Olympic Ski Jumps (“Nykäsen mäki”) before descending into Sarajevo. This city is a living museum where East meets West. The day ends with a traditional Bosnian dinner in the vibrant Old Town (Baščaršija).
Ride: Coastal twists turning into high-mountain sweepers.
Prepare to have your breath taken away. Today, we ride into a UNESCO World Heritage site that every motorcyclist must experience once in their life: Durmitor National Park in Montenegro. The roads here don’t just go over mountains; they cut through them. Expect jagged peaks, glacial lakes, and tarmac that feels like a racetrack in the sky. We end the day in Zabljak, the highest town in the Balkans, surrounded by pure wilderness. This is riding at its absolute peak.
Ride: Quality tarmac carving through dramatic, sky-high alpine passes.
From the deepest canyon to the wildest frontier. We start the morning at the spectacular Tara River Bridge, spanning Europe’s deepest canyon. Grab a photo, it’s iconic.
Then, we follow the river before crossing into a new territory: Kosovo. This is the Balkans at its most authentic. We ride to Peja, located at the foot of the “Accursed Mountains” and the Rugova Canyon. If time permits, we’ll do an optional evening loop deep into the canyon to spot wild horses roaming free..
Ride: Fast countryside sweepers, a technical ridge climb, and a relaxed cruise to the coast.
We cross into Albania, our 5th country, and head for Fierze. Here, we board the ferry for a cruise on Lake Koman. Often compared to the fjords of Norway or Thailand, this 2-hour journey through vertical cliffs is mesmerizing. After docking, the real Albanian adventure begins. The roads might get a bit bumpy, but the experience is raw and unfiltered. We navigate through small villages and stunning landscapes before arriving in Shkodër, the cultural capital of northern Albania.
Ride: A scenic 2-hour ferry cruise, followed by raw and unfiltered Albanian countryside roads.
Reload and recharge. After five days of intense riding, today we switch gears. We take a shorter ride to explore the rich culture of the Shkodër region. The highlight is a visit to a premium Agrotourism farm. Here, we don’t just eat; we experience the land. Local wines, homemade cheeses, and dried meats straight from the farm. It’s a feast for the senses and a chance to relax before the big riding days ahead. In the evening, the Old Town of Shkodër comes alive.
Ride: A short, relaxed and scenic cruise through rustic local farmlands.
The day legends are made of. We start with arguably the most beautiful road in Albania near Theth, carving our way through the “Albanian Alps.” Then, we cross back into Montenegro via Podgorica and the scenic Lake Skadar. But we’ve saved the best for last. To reach the coast, we descend the world-famous Kotor Serpentine Road. With over 25 hairpin turns and a view that drops straight into the Adriatic Sea, this is a technical masterpiece. We finish the day within the medieval walls of Kotor.
Ride: A technical masterclass featuring steep descents and 25 world-famous coastal hairpins.
Backroads to Bosnia. Leaving the coast, we hunt for the hidden gems. Instead of the main highway, we take a “backdoor” route into Bosnia, finding curves that only the locals know. Our destination is Mostar, famous for its Stari Most (Old Bridge). We arrive via a lesser-known serpentine road that offers stunning views of the city. The evening is spent watching the divers jump from the bridge and enjoying the unique atmosphere of this historic town.
Ride: Hidden backroads, flowing local curves, and a secret serpentine approach to the city.
One last ride to remember. We leave Mostar and stop at the stunning Kravice Waterfalls, a perfect spot to cool off. Then, it’s time for the final stretch. We hit the Croatian Coastal Road (Jadranska Magistrala), widely considered one of the best motorcycle roads in the world. With the sea on your left and mountains on your right, we carve our way back to Split. We return the bikes, high-five the team, and head out for a Farewell Dinner to relive the memories.
Ride: Endless, fast-paced sweepers on the legendary Adriatic Coastal Highway (Jadranska Magistrala).

The Ancient Odyssey (All-Inclusive)
Olympus, Sparta, the Corinth Canal, and so on.. the best parts were the small mountain roads and villages. The daily distances were just right, leaving plenty of time for the taverns. Every single day was a highlight!
What a great trip with perfect Greek spring weather. The route choices were clearly well-thought-out and the bikes worked perfectly; all I had to do was enjoy the ride and the scenery.
The Albanian Alps Expedition
A pro week in the Balkans! Bikes ready and so much to see. The routes were chosen with the scenery in mind, but there was also a nice balance of urban environments.
The hotels were great, the meals were experiences in themselves, and the price level is very affordable. These countries offer plenty of contrast, ruggedness, and the kind of motorcycling routes you can only dream of in Finland.
If I had to pick one highlight, Durmitor National Park was probably the best. The whole trip was a 5/5
The Classic 5-Country Loop
Seven days of riding spectacular routes through the mountains of five different Balkan countries. Flight to Split, overnight stay, picking up the rental bikes, and off we went.
We got to know each other at the initial planning meeting, and even more throughout the journey. The group spirit was excellent, which is an absolute prerequisite on a trip like this where the focus is on riding, local cultures, and good company.
Tour operator Juha handled his demanding role flawlessly. Even when unexpected situations arose (nothing negative), they were handled with the guide’s ironclad professionalism. I can highly recommend this tour; the price-to-quality ratio is excellent.
